What is the importance of deadlines? How do high school deadlines reflect or simulate "real world" experience? Give an example of when you met or or didn't meet a deadline that was important.

The importance of deadlines is that if you have a sense of completing something within a given time and you  don't take longer than needed when working on an assignment, especially if you can get it done within the given amount of time. Every important assignment or piece of work always has a deadline, it can't get dragged on forever and forever. If you don't complete a deadline, people would have a bad impression of you and your teacher/boss or your peers deem you as an irresponsible or uncoordinated person. High school deadlines reflect "real world" experiences because if you are in school and don't complete an assignment on time, your teachers will not trust you in that sense that you are responsible, which could be the outcome of "real world" experiences in the future as well. In real life, deadlines are much more crucial and important and high school gives you an opportunity to see how well you can deal with it. This year I experienced not meeting deadlines when I couldn't finish my reading annotations on time, and I had to do it at the last minute.
