Define 'User Experience'. What does it mean and how does it relate to web design?

User experience includes all parts of the end-user's interaction or communication with the company, its services and its products. Basically, it's  the experience and reaction he had from using a specific game, app, or program. He could have had a bad user experience because he didn't get what he wanted or needed from the app or program, or a good user experience because he got satisfied and was able to find everything he wanted. One example would be the app Snapchat. Many people use this app and have a good user experience with it because they find it fun and are satisfied, which means they have good user experience. It relates to web design because people who use and view websites need to have good user experience with it and be satisfied and happy with what they see and when making the website it's important to think about what they would want to see.

Go out and look up a what all goes on a resume website. What can you find? Include an example image if possible.

It shows the person's basic information, such as his/her email and website and phone number and a summary of their qualifications. They also show their experience, and education thus far. It shows any social media they're on and skills and their latest projects. It's basically a page that shows the clients and companies everything they need to know about the person. It's like a resume on a piece of paper but it's online instead and includes more images/pictures.

Web Server: It's a computer systems that permits or keeps websites. It runs Web Server software, like Apache and Microsoft IIS, which gives access to permitted or hosted websites over the Internet.

Tell me about your weekend. Give me details and photos!

This weekend was pretty good. I didn't do anything for Halloween on Friday, and  Saturday was my brother's birthday, and he turned twelve, so we were busy celebrating that. Sunday went by reallyyyyy fast, but it was still pretty good. My brother had a couple of his friends from his birthday over for a sleepover, so the house was more filled than usual because of that. The Chiefs game was also going on yesterday, but I never ended up watching it. For dinner we went to Mi Ranchito, which was fun and different, and after that I did a little bit of homework so that was pretty much my weekend!

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

I'm not really doing anything for Thanksgiving this year; I plan to relax and sleep in and go around places local during the break. My family's vegetarian so we don't eat turkeys so we're probably going to have our own meal. There was one year when we had a somewhat actual Thanksgiving meal, but we don't tend to have it every year,and we probably aren't going to this year either, so it's probably going to be something simple or something else. I don't have any other local family either so we might have dinner with our family friends if we plan anything then, otherwise it'll just be me and my family. We don't really have any other traditions but we plan to go shopping for Black Friday, so that'll be fun! Other than that we plan to have a simple Thanksgiving!

Consider the quote below. What exactly do you think it means and how does it relate to Web Design?

I think it means that the way you make or do something is also part of design; having a toy work a different way than usual shows that you have a unique design and are creative. Having a really elaborate program work a different and unique way than other programs shows that that program has a creative design because it doesn't work the usual way that everything else does. Two people could have the exactly same toy, but if one person's works the usual way and the other person's works in a way it hasn't before, then the second person has a better design. It relates to Web Design because two people could have the exactly same website but the person with the better design is the one that can access the website differently and use it differently than other websites. Basically, a website with a different format and way to use it is the one with the better design.

Reflect on your learning this semester so far in this class. Think about the first day you walked in to this room until right now. What have you learned about Web Design? What have you learned beyond Web Design? Explain yourself.

I learned a lot in Web Design. I learned about html and how to code a basic website, I learned about CSS and how that's used to support html to enhance the website, and I learned more about blogging, even though I've done it before. I also learned more about color schemes and copyright. Beyond Web Design, I learned about computer skills and how to be patient when coding and making a website because sometimes it can get frustrating and that's when it's most important to be patient. I also learned not to procrastinate and make use of your time and to be productive because at first it may seem like we have a lot of time to work but by the end there's still a lot left to do, especially when making an elaborate website. I also learned it's important to save everything in one folder otherwise everything would eventually mess up.
